The Indie Grits Film Festival is open to all modes of filmmaking including: narrative, documentary, short, feature length, animation, experimental, and student films.  Indie Grits exists to showcase works by DIY media-makers from or currently living in the Southeast and/or works that are set in or concern an aspect of the Southeast. In short, all submissions must have a tie to the Southeast (SC, NC, VA, GA, FL, AL, MS, TN, LA, KY, AR, TX). “We couldn’t have asked for a better reception than from the folks at INDIE GRITS. Along with helping us get our little film shown in the best way format possible, Seth and the rest of the people we’ve dealt with have been so supportive of our film afterward. Every film festival we have been to since, I have made a point to tell other filmmakers that they need to put INDIE GRITS on their list of festivals to not only submit to but also to attend.” —Jason Brown, producer of 2013 Top Grit Miracle Boy Making things super simple,  we ask that you use the online submission process provided by Withoutabox.  It is a free service for filmmakers allowing you to make a single, master profile for your film that you can apply to hundreds of festivals across the U.S. and Europe.   The process of using Withoutabox is easy and gives you access to extended deadlines and 5 dollars off the submission price.  Just click on the Withoutabox button below and follow the instructions to register and apply:
